Regarding Electabuzz to S rank: With the departure of Lickilicky, Electabuzz has simply risen back to its previous stature. It's an extremely splashable mon due to solid bulk, Speed, and the ability to pivot on a ton of the meta via Volt Switch. Itchecks threats such as Simipour, Jumpluff, and Krokorok without much difficulty and provides fantastic defensiveutility, acting as an Electric checkand general special sponge due to Eviolite. Electabuzz simply checks too much of the meta and is a centralizing force to the point of needing to be S rank.

Regigigas is amazing lol, I think it's one of the most overlooked Pokemon in the tier. While it usually has issues early game because of Geist-L, and it's a bit easier to keep it from getting stalling Slow Start because of strong breakers being present, its ability to practically aggressively bend over teams once Slow Start goes away is quite comical actually. It's so damn fat, being fatter than Licky which was just banned, and once it's behind a Sub it is very difficult to deal with, especially when lots of weaker attacks wont break its Subs, such as Buzz's Volt Switch, Scalds from any of the fat Water-types, Seed Bomb from Gourgeist-L, Klang's Shift Gear, Spritzee's Moonblast etc, pretty much any move that isn't a decently powerful STAB or Fighting-type move. This makes it very easy for Regigigas to stall out Slow Start without the need of bullshitting its way through with Confuse Ray or paralysis like some ladder folks like to do. There are two variation of sets I like to run that both perform very differently in the early stages in the match; Sub T-wave with Drain Punch and Frustration, or Sub 3 attacks with Knock Off over T-wave. T-wave forfeits the ability to hit Ghost-types while making Regi a huge pain for offense, as it can just spam T-wave early match and potentially tear shit up later, or just cripple the team so much that something else can clean up. Knock Off is better versus fatter/balance teams as it can Sub up on a lot of passive shit and proceed to just spam Knock Off until everything is itemless, and it also lets it smack Geist, Banette, and Frillish. Personally I love T-wave for its utility, but Knock Off is definitely best in the current meta. Drain Punch gives it semi-reliable recovery which it can also spam once its Slow Start goes away, as it can deal large chunks to frail Pokemon and get a lot of its health back, making it even harder to wear down, while of course, hitting Lairon, Klang, and Gigalith.
Overall, while I do think compared to other Normal-types Regi isn't as self sufficient, considering that it does have that huge crutch early game and even with Knock Off it struggles to break through Geist-L, so some support is needed to make Regi effective, but I'd go as far as to say that Regi is one of the scariest Pokemon in the tier when given the right support, and unlike in other tiers Slow Start isn't nearly as hard to stall out because of its massive bulk when compared to the tier's premier offensive Pokemon which usually don't have attacking stats above 100. A- is a good fit for it, and without Licky in the tier it doesn't face any competition as a fat Normal-type sweeper.

Lickitung ---> D Agree This mon fights right into D-rank; Great Eviolite boosted bulk, immunity to Taunt, and Wish Pass+Knock Off is enough of a niche to warrant use. Wigglytuff and Chimeco also have WishPass+Knock Off, but the latter is simply a bad option and Lickitung has greater bulk than Wiggly+immunity to Taunt. 252 SpA Electabuzz Focus Blast vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Eviolite Lickitung: 124-146 (32.3 - 38.1%) -- 94.7% chance to 3HKO +2 252 SpA Life Orb Simisage Focus Blast vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Eviolite Lickitung: 322-382 (84 - 99.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO +2 252+ Atk Huntail Waterfall vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Lickitung: 208-246 (54.3 - 64.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO +2 252+ SpA Huntail Hydro Pump vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Eviolite Lickitung: 183-216 (47.7 - 56.3%) -- 83.6% chance to 2HKO It cannot be ignored how passive Lickitung is. Unlike its evolution Lickilicky, Tung has virtually no offensive presence, relying on Toxic/Body Slam for any kind of damage. Therefore, it'll only fit on stall/semi-stall where the niche of WishPass is desired (I get Spritzee arguably outclasses this role, due to superior typing+ability, but Licky passes bigger Wishes and has greater bulk). Ariados ---> E Disagree Here's the issue I'm having: As a Web setter Ariados is outclassed by Kricketune and Masquerain, and it's also outclassed by Whirlipede for T-Spikes. However, it's the only mon in the game with both which means it has a usable niche in the meta and is deserving of at least D-rank. Not really much to say here tbh, it can pick whether to slow down teams or wear down teams over the course of a match, something no other hazard setter can do. Regigigas ---> A- AgreeSee Gary's post Duosion ---> A+ Disagree Won't deny how good Duo is, how heavily it pressures teambuilding, and how it can sweep unprepared teams with ease. One thing I will say is teams aren't as prepared as they should be, one check is never enough and not having a strong breaker means Duo will likely screw you over. The most common set (CM AA) is shut down by Dark-types, but it can easily compensate with Signal Beam>Acid Armor, albeit without AA it can't set up as freely vs physical attackers. Drops we got can all check Duosion in some way: Politoed and Volbeat Encore, Dusclops shuts it down with Taunt, Purugly with Knock removes Evio then U-turns into a proper check. To be honest Duosion has multiple checks that should be used more: Evio Special Murk, Scraggy, 248 HP CM Swoobat, CB Trick Banette, list goes on...I think we teams should better adjust to Duosion before we seriously consider for A+.

Update time: - Duosion: Remains A, moved to top
- Politoed: A- to A
- Regigigas: B+ to bottom of A-
- Lunatone: C to C+
- Lickitung: Unranked to D
- Aridaos: D to E
Duosion Very scary Pokemon to face/prep for due to set up and Magic Guard, but Duosion isn't as splashable or immediately threatening as the A+ rankers. Mono-STAB is shut down by Dark-types but admittedly that falls into how good the Duo squad supports Duo, and how well opposing Dark-types such as Krok are played. CM Signal Beam isn't as threatening, but just screws over teams that rely on Dark- or Psychic-types to stop mono-Psychic/Shock. Overall a solid mon defnitely top of A in the current meta.
Politoed Came to us in the most recent shift and has solidified itself as one of the tier's premier Water- and Fire-type checks. Very splashable in the current meta since it can reliably check mons such as Simipour, Huntail, Klang, Duosion, Golduck, and Pignite. Also has the power to break (especially Specs), bulk to take attacks, and utility in Encore or Toxic+Protect to break down opposing teams and simply check slow boosters. Only real downside is lack of recovery and vulnerability to Buzz/Sage/Servine, it's worn down fairly easily but can find itself getting back 25% off of Water Absorb and Lefties racks up on Protect sets.
Regigigas With Lickilicky long gone, Regigigas no longer faces stiff competition as a bulky Normal-type. Gigas boasts immense bulk and power, and once Slow Start wears off it can steamroll through opposing teams. Between Substitute, Knock Off, and Thunder Wave, Regigigas can function decently well under Slow Start, crippling opposing Pokemon and dismantling defensive cores (not to mention Twave spam screws offense). Regigigas is a Pokemon now that has a standalone niche due to great bulk, power, and utility, and with the proper support is one of the scariest mons to face. Bottom of A- because everything else is seemingly better within the rank.
Lunatone Been using SR 3 Attacks lately and I can say it's a solid breaker. Max Modest coming off base 95 SpA is good, with coverage like Ice Beam, and Earth Power it hits what it needs to (Psychic resists such as Lairon, Klang, Zwei most notably). Other coverage such as Moonblast, Shadowball, and Signal Beam can be used to better lure in Zweillous and bulky Psychic-types respectively. Great at dismantling cores turn 1, if the lead matchup isn't disadvantageous it can either set Rocks or start pressuring teams off the bat. OHKO's Lairon, Colbur lets Luna take on Krok, really only Gigalith can live a hit and pressure back. Performs too well in the current meta to stay in C.
LickitungExtremely niche Pokemon overall, but anyone who played Licky meta knows how solid Wish Pass Lickilicky+Defensive Gourgeist-L was. That being said, Eviolite Lickitung is a bulkier, more passive version of SpD Licky. It occupies a niche only on stall teams in Wish Passer+Cleric+Phazer all in one, and is immune to Taunt to boot. Faces competition from other Wish Passers like Hypno, Spritzee, and Wigglytuff but Lickitung sets itself apart with the phazing and immense bulk. AriadosMy original thinking was Webs+Tspikes was a solid niche, but after testing Ariados more I came to the conclusion that Webs team don't really care for poison, and TSpikes teams generally won't abuse Webs. Essentially, Ariados does not perform its niche well enough and is too outclassed by Kricketune/Masquerain and Whirlipede in both respective roles. A rank was rearranged and all B ranks are now alphabetical. Feel free to make new noms, we'll probably have one more extensive look and that'll be it for the ORAS VR.

Hi, I know we're more in 6G (the ZU is totally different today, much like the PU 6G), but I liked this meta where the Simis and Electabuzz were the tops tiers. I have 2 small questions: * i have the impression that there is a forgotten pokemon: Parasect. Was he banned from the ZU? * after seeing several replays and viability rankings, I noticed that some NFE pokemons are missing. Do they have a niche (above row E): Marill, Abra, Rufflet, Slowpoke, Pineco, Nidorino, Ponyta, Sandshrew, Timburr, Pupitar or Snover? We can expand with some LC Ubers (or LC's tops tiers): Porygon, Yanma, Swirlix, Drifloon, Foogus, Shellder or Croagunk
